Near the Water

Photoshopped structure I created in Chicago. The main "body" of the structure is an old industrial bridge from a photograph in Chicago.

This was a two plate print, with the top plate as photo etching and the bottom a white ground aquatint. I chose white ground as it has an organic painterly quality and I wanted that as the backdrop to the hard mechanical creature parts. The moody atmosphere of the second plate was inspired by J. M. W.
