I like finding patterns; visual patterns, behavioral patterns, natural patterns.
In high school I took IB art (similar to AP but on an international level), and one of the requirements was a simple, physical sketchbook or a workbook. It was a place not only to sketch out budding ideas, but to gather research and inspiration for our art projects. Photographs, artifacts, foliage, and whatever I could glue onto a 2D format would be crammed into my workbook. Paging through these case studies of all my art projects, I would start to see visual patterns in my work - connections from one piece of research to another slice inspiration.
Work of Process was born from my high school workbook, a place where I can collect inspiration, research and showcase experiments and prototypes on a digital platform.
